FAQ
Common questions about applications, housing, and program requirements
Where are the application forms?
Application forms are available under the Forms section at the top of our website or you can go here
How do I apply for a program?
Select the appropriate application form, complete it in full, and submit it by mail. Applications are reviewed in the order received, and BBHA staff will contact you if additional information is needed.
I'm a tenant of one of your properties, when is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Timely payment helps avoid late notices or additional action.
How will I know if I am selected for a housing unit?
When a unit becomes available and you are next on the waiting list for the correct location and bedroom size, BBHA will send you a written selection notice. You must respond within 7 days to remain eligible.
When do I need to submit a recertification?
Recertification is required anytime there is a change to your household, including income changes or household members moving in or out. This helps ensure your assistance remains accurate and up to date.
What happens if my application is missing information?
Incomplete applications may delay review or result in your application being returned. Submitting all required documents helps prevent delays.
Do I need to report changes after I apply?
Yes. Applicants and participants are required to report changes to income, household size, or contact information as soon as possible.
How long does the review process take?
Processing times vary depending on the program, application volume, and completeness of your submission. BBHA will contact you once your application has been reviewed.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
If you have questions about applications, forms, or program requirements, contact Bristol Bay Housing Authority directly during regular office hours.
