program overview
The Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA) provides federal funding that allows tribes and tribal housing authorities to plan and manage housing programs at the local level.
The Bristol Bay Housing Authority receives NAHASDA funding through the Indian Housing Block Grant program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. These funds support housing development, rehabilitation, rental assistance, and homeownership programs across the Bristol Bay region.
